Black Forest Yogurt Cup

As a cold breakfast, snack, or fruity dessert, this black forest cake-inspired yogurt will hit the spot!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup cherries

2-3 pitted dates

1/4 gluten-free rolled oats

1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Pinch of pink salt

1/4 cup yogurt (I used coconut for mine)

1 tablespoon dairy-free chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Wash the cherries, cut them in half, and remove the pit. An alternative to fresh cherries is using jarred.

  2. Now to make the chocolate layer: place your dates, oats, cocoa powder, and salt into a food processor and mix into a dough. Set aside.

  3. Next, using a bowl or jar is layering. My order: yogurt, cherries, chocolate, cherries, yogurt, topping.

  4. Shape the remaining dough into miniature energy balls for topping!

  5. Place most of the yogurt on the bottom, otherwise it will flow down the side and cover all the bottom layers.

  6. Add your energy balls, chocolate chips, and extra cherries on top.
